Hacienda Felise Estate & Inn

Your SLO Wine Country Destination on California’s Central Coast

A boutique inn and vacation rental, Hacienda Felise Estate is conveniently located in the heart of San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande’s wine country, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. You will be minutes to the main points of interest: wineries, uncrowded beaches, water sports, hiking trails, golf, fine dining at Michelin-worthy restaurants, Cal Poly, downtown SLO, and the San Luis Obispo airport. It’s a simple 30-45 minute drive to Morro Bay, Paso Robles, Hearst Castle, and Solvang.

A stay at Hacienda Felise is an adult-only experience, well suited for solo travelers, couple’s romantic escape, girl's getaway, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, work remote situations, or small groups of up to 6 seeking an inspirational retreat.

The hacienda combines rustic architecture with Spanish elegance, and features an independent casita and two guest suites, each with a private entrance, ensuite bathrooms, and tasteful furnishings. Throughout the property, enjoy the natural beauty as you unwind in one of the many sitting areas, be lulled by the sound of water fountains, do some yoga, stroll the zen gardens with infinity path or practice meditation in the live bamboo oxygen room.

About Hacienda Felise

With the abundance of sunny days and year-round moderate temps, any time is the best time to visit California’s Central Coast! In the heart of Arroyo Grande and Edna Valley’s wine country, natural beauty surrounds our serene 3-acre estate nestled in the rolling hills.

Hacienda Felise is so much more than just a place to stay - we offer a memorable elevated experience! For your relaxing stay at the hacienda, choose from three beautifully appointed, eco-chic dwellings, all inspired by our memorable travel adventures. Each dwelling sleeps 2 and is discretely situated around a large, Spanish-style guest courtyard, which makes for maximum privacy for everyone: Casa de los Sueños Casita with kitchen, fireplace, and all the comforts of home, Corazón Sagrado Suite or Catrina Suite (both with private entrances, ensuite bathrooms, and tea and coffee bars). A stay at Hacienda Felise is an adult-only experience, well suited for solo travelers, romantic couple’s escape, girl's getaway, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, work remote situations, or small groups up to 6 adults seeking an inspirational retreat.

On the grounds, stroll the zen garden designed with an 'infinity walk’, see unique cactus and succulents, and be sure to spend some time in the outdoor, live bamboo oxygen room, which is perfect for yoga and meditation. At the top of the gardens there's a gazebo - an ideal spot for morning coffee, a picnic lunch, or catching the sunset. Guests can take in some R&R, unwind with a good book and enjoy the sounds of nature, wind chimes and water fountains or rally for a lively game of bocce ball. Have binoculars handy for wildlife sightings of deer, coyotes, raccoons, possums, owls, hawks, and more.

Don’t be fooled by our semi-rural location - Highway 101, Trader Joe’s, shopping, and dining are within 5 minutes of the hacienda. Nearby, discover the trail of farm stands, farmers markets, historic Village of Arroyo Grande, and Avila Valley Barn to find special locally crafted jams, pies, treats and gifts to take home. Surrounded by both coastal and vineyard wedding venues, the hacienda is centrally located so out-of-town guests can do some of their own exploring in between the festivities. While we are on the Edna Valley / Arroyo Grande Valley wine trail for some of the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the state, wine lovers can have the ultimate adventure visiting the various wine trails from Paso Robles down to Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara.

Sustainable Travel Practices

We think it’s important to do what we can to minimize the environmental impacts of tourism. We've tried to be as eco-friendly as possible, both with design and lifestyle, so you will notice shaded terraces and decks that keep the hacienda cool, solar energy, cool Saltillo tile or bamboo flooring, etc.
